This time of year is always bittersweet. As summer is coming to an end, back to school season is beginning. It’s time to trade in swimsuits for a new clothes. Pool floats for pencils. And beach totes for backpacks. Getting ready for back to school has always been something I look forward to. I can’t be the only one who loves the smell of new, freshly sharpened pencils, right? I also absolutely love for shopping for school supplies, not to mention getting a fresh start on my daily planner. It’s not secret that this year is looking very different. It was my plan to homeschool Lila all along, so lucky for us this year school’s schedule doesn’t look much different. To keep her social I have had her enrolled in 3 weekly classes since last fall. Over the past year she has been in Art Class, Ballet Class, and Gymnastics. While her Ballet Class and Gymnastics classes are still on hold, her Art Class is actually offering 1 on 1 classes right now. We couldn’t be happier about this since she absolutely loves her art class. It’s actually the same art class I went to in elementary school so I get super nostalgic taking her there. It makes me so happy to see that she loves it as much as I did!
When her classes are over and she runs over to me, she knows I am waiting for her with a lunch box in hand. Always filled with healthy and delicious snacks.
